GENEVA, may 21. /TASS/. The Ministry of health is developing opportunities to increase export of medical services and inbound medical tourism in Russia, told TASS the state Secretary, Deputy Minister of healthcare Dmitry Kostennikov on the sidelines of the annual 71st world health Assembly (WHA).

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin in his may decrees instructed the Cabinet to increase exports of health services not less than four times compared with 2017 (to $1 billion per year).

“We plan to create an organizational core, which will combine the needs of our medical organizations that have the capacity to provide this assistance to develop a precise, clear, simple algorithms, how to engage [medical] tourists to bring in understandable form than a strong Russian organization that they can offer the level of service,” he said .

Kostennikov also noted that the Ministry of health created a working group which works on these tasks and issues associated with the development of the terms of contracts for foreigners coming for treatment in Russia. The Deputy Minister also noted the need to work for them visa support.
