The motive for the murder of the former Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Denis Boronenkov is the connection of interests of the top Russian leadership and of the personal motives of criminal authority of Vladimir Tyurin, the former civil husband of the murdered wife Maria Maksakova, said the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.

“Investigators believe that the motive for the murder of Mr. Boronenkov was a mix of the interests of the top management of the Russian Federation to eliminate the witness who gave important testimony for the Ukrainian, and in the future could give evidence to international courts, the participation of the Russian Federation in undeclared military actions and war crimes against Ukraine, with personal motives of Mr Tyurin, who thus wanted to take revenge on his former common-law wife Maksakova and raise your in the thieves ‘understanding of the credibility of such actions”, – he said at briefing on Monday in Kiev .
