The working group on reforming of the sphere of cybersecurity in the national security system of Ukraine at the meeting of the national security Council discussed the situation in this area, current threats and ways to neutralize them.
“Special emphasis was placed on the need to develop a comprehensive package of amendments to the legislation in the mentioned sphere, implementation of best practices in USA and EU countries, the need for enhancing public-private partnerships, etc.” – said the press service of the national security Council on Wednesday following the meeting.
Advisor to the Secretary of the national security Council on cybersecurity Andrew Susi noted that the market of services in the field of cybersecurity should be “open to the private sector through public-private partnerships”.
The constituent meeting of the working group was chaired by the Deputy Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine Alexey Danilov. The working group includes representatives of Parliament, government bodies, IT industry, experts, scientists, representatives of civil society. In particular, the meeting was attended by Advisor to the President of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Informatization and communications Oleksandr Danchenko, representatives of public organizations of Ukrainian Cyber Alliance.
