The Council of national security of the United States recommended that President Donald Trump to expel Russian diplomats from the United States in response to the incident of poisoning in the UK ex-GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal, reports CNN, citing a source familiar with the situation.

As noted by the source, it is expected that D. trump will receive a recommendation from the national security Council on Friday. It is emphasized that the recommendations did not specified a certain number of Russian diplomats.

“The decision to send the recommendation to the President was taken after high-level meetings at the White house on Wednesday, during which the national security Council has developed a number of options for action against Russia”, – said the TV channel with reference to the several employees of the state Department and the source .

According to several sources, the option to expel Russian diplomats from the United States would be “stringent response”, and it became a priority following the meeting.
