The European Union has appointed the Hartikainen Antti (Antti Hartikainen) the new head of the Advisory mission of the European Union (CMEs) reform of the civilian security sector in Ukraine (European Union Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine, EUAM).

In this role, he will be replaced by the Kestutis Luscinskas (Kęstutis Lančinskas), who has held this post since February 1, 2016.

As stated in the EC communication, the decision was made on Tuesday in Brussels in the framework of the meeting of the Committee on politics and security.

Hartikainen, who is currently the Director General of Finnish customs, will begin his duties July 1, 2019, its mandate will run until 30 June 2020.

Previously, he was head of EU Mission on border assistance to Libya, Deputy head of EU Mission on border assistance to Moldova and Ukraine, and team leader of the EU Advisory group in Armenia.
