The flow of Ukrainian tourists in Abu Dhabi (UAE) in January-July 2017 has risen 8% compared to the same period of 2016 to 28,894 thousand.

These data are released by the representative of the Ministry of culture and tourism of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by Svetlana Filatova, during the press-tour organized by a travel Agency “TUI Ukraine” on the basis of Bab Al Qasr hotel (Abu Dhabi) at the end of August this year.

Currently, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is actively developing tourism and various options of tourist programs. The development of tourism has become especially important in recent years, as the UAE expected depletion of oil reserves and reduce its production by 2030, forcing the UAE to seek other sources for filling the budget . During the years of active mining and oil exports of the UAE, in particular Abu Dhabi, is the capital and the largest Emirate, occupying 80% of the country has managed to create and develop tourist infrastructure, forming of tourist offer to different categories of consumers – as excursion programs and options of a beach holiday.

S. Filatov noted that currently, Abu Dhabi has a large number of hotels in different price categories, with the Emirate hoteliers are developing a full range of hotel services, including services for business tourism, conference and SPA programs.

According to her, Abu Dhabi is now interested in the discovery and development of new tourist markets, including the increase of tourist flow from Ukraine.

“We expect that the growth of tourist flow from Ukraine to Abu Dhabi in 2017-2018, at least, maintain their momentum, including through the development of special programs of the major tour operators,” she said.

Abu Dhabi is the largest Emirate of the UAE, Abu Dhabi is the UAE capital, is situated on several Islands. Since 1958, Abu Dhabi is developing the oil production, being the center of a major oil and gas region.

Among the attractions of the Emirate one of the largest in the world, the Sheikh Zayed mosque, the city-oasis of al ain, the cultural objects which are included in the list of UNESCO world heritage, the Ferrari World theme Park, Yas Mall Mall with an area of 232 thousand square meters, a Golf course, Falcon hospital, which was created specifically for the treatment of Sokolov, one of the largest nature reserves of the Arabian Peninsula on the island of Sir Bani Yas, desert center hunting, training and breeding of dogs of breed Saluki (saluki).

The Emirate is currently implementing the project of the future “eco-city” of Masdar, which will be applied modern technologies of energy production without the use of traditional energy sources.
