Events and activities in the framework of the world championship on ski sports in the Finnish Lahti was visited by 270 thousand people, 180 thousand of them did it for the tickets. This at a press conference said the Secretary General of the organizing Committee of the tournament Janne Leskinen.

The world championship on ski sports takes place from 23 February to 5 March. Sunday competition the programme ends with the men’s marathon.
“Accurate data we will receive only next week, but already now we can say that with all the guests, the world championship was attended by about 220 thousand people. About 50 thousand people attended the medal ceremony. So in total we have 270 thousand people. As for tickets sold, we sold about 180 thousand,” said Leskinen .
The next world Cup will be held in 2019 in the Austrian Seefeld.
