The surviving members of the crew of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, which caught fire while landing at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport, the TV channel Rossiya-24 said about the circumstances of the disaster.
According to flight attendants flight Tatyana Kasatkina, after takeoff, the aircraft was in cloud, where there was a hailstorm. “At this point there was a Bang, a flash like electricity. Everything was very fast,” she said.
According to her, after a hard landing, people started to get up from their seats and move to the exit, despite the fact that the plane was still on speed. According to flight attendants, the evacuation began immediately after the stop.
In turn, the commander of the crew Denis Evdokimov said that the result of a lightning strike there was a loss of radio communication, and the pilots had to directly translate the plane in the emergency control mode. “A few words was impossible to tell, then she was gone and had to reconnect,” – said Evdokimov.
As you know, among the 41 who died in the crash was the flight attendant Maxim Moiseev. Media reported that he was trying to save people in the tail of the aircraft. He managed to write a message to his girlfriend: “I love you”.
According to preliminary data, the disaster affected a citizen of Ukraine.
