The President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid criticized the decision to restore the rights of Russia to participate in the work of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). Her words quoted by Postimees.
“I believe in the dialogue with Russia, but that did not mean the return of the Russian side to partnership after she violated international law and its promises”, — declared the head of the Republic during a conference in Tallinn.
The decision that Russia should remain in the PACE, was taken on may 17 during the negotiations of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (Committee of Ministers). Statement of the Committee of Ministers next week will consider the Bureau of the Assembly. Then return Russia will need to adopt the amendments on the rights of national delegations — only in this case Russia will be able to participate in PACE summer session.
