GROZNY, October 1. /TASS/. The burial ceremony of the remains of 86 of Soviet soldiers who died during the great Patriotic war, was held in the village of ishcherskaya, Chechnya. They were discovered in a search of works which took place in March 2016 and September of the current year on the territory of Naurskiy district of the Republic.

“Excavations were carried out in places where in 1942 there were fierce battles in the outskirts of Grozny, representing a strategic interest for Nazi Germany. In search operations involved searchers from Moscow, Belgorod, Smolensk regions, Ingushetia, Dagestan and the Chechen Republic . The work will continue and are not going to stop, we must honor the people who died for our freedom,” said the Chairman of the Chechen regional branch of the Russian military historical society Abdul Alaudinov.

Data managed to install 33 fallen soldiers, including 15 officers, called to the front of the Armenian SSR. In the ceremony of the burial was attended by a delegation of the Ambassador of Armenia in Russia Vartan Toganyan. Near a mass grave was a memorial stele with names of the dead and the inscription “Armenia remembers your feat”.
