The Russian Embassy in Prague formally change address and officially will not be on the square of Boris Nemtsov, named after the murdered Russian politics, reports dw.com.
In fact, the Embassy will use the address of the consular section, located about 400 metres from the official residence on the street Korunovační 34 (Korunovacni 34).
On Friday, April 17, told the Czech online newspaper Aktuálně.cz with reference to the letter of the Russian dipvedomstva sent to the Czech foreign Ministry. According to journalists in the Russian Embassy officially notify of change of his office address. The building is located very close to each other, and the street on which the Consulate moves into area of Boris Nemtsov.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs publication Aktualne.cz confirmed this information, calling such actions “administrative step.” The Russian Embassy at the request of the Czech online magazine about why it changed its official residence on the second building, didn’t answer. The mayor of Prague , zdeněk Grib told reporters that such efforts seem to him odd, considering that in his time the politician Boris Nemtsov was Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
The ceremony renaming the square and Pod Kaštany (Under the chestnut), which is situated next to a number of diplomatic missions, including the Russian Embassy and the OSCE office in the area of Boris Nemtsov, was held on February 27 in the fifth anniversary of the assassination of the Russian politician. However, on its official website, the Russian Embassy still shows as the address of the original name of the area, which no longer exists.
