The Russian Embassy in the Central African Republic did not know about the visit of Russian journalists on the territory of this country.

In the Central African Republic killed three people who had his journalistic documents. This is stated in the message of the Russian foreign Ministry on Tuesday, July 31.

“According to information coming from the Central African Republic, July 30, near the town of sibut (300 km North from the capital of Central African Republic – Bangui) was killed three people who had only journalistic documents issued in the name of Kirill Radchenko, Alexander Rastorguev and Orkhan Jemal,” – said in the message.

According to the Russian Ministry of foreign Affairs, bodies of victims are already delivered in Bangui .

“The Russian Embassy in the Central African Republic, unfortunately, was not informed about the stay on the territory of the Russian journalists. The staff of our Embassy are in close contact with local law enforcement and government agencies to ascertain all the circumstances of the deaths of Russian citizens and events for sending the bodies to their Motherland”, – stated in the message.

The Russian foreign Ministry also expressed condolences to the families of the victims. The Agency is ready to provide their families the necessary support.

On this fact the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under article about the murder (article 105 of the criminal code).
