The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky had a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, during which discussed the situation in Donbas, the press service of the Ukrainian President.

“Vladimir Zelensky said that the Ukrainian side has already identified a list of three additional breeding sites of forces and means,” – said in a statement released on Wednesday afternoon a statement on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“For us it is very important that it was precisely the humanitarian area. It’s important for people”, – said the President of Ukraine.

As reported, on 10 December 2019 the Minister of defense of Ukraine Andriy Zagorodnyuk said that participants of the “Normandy summit” on 9 December had agreed that the withdrawal of forces and means in the Donbas will become a humanitarian zones, which will be organized by new crossings of the demarcation line.

“We agreed on three new breeding site until March. Breeding all along the line, as Russia would like, will not be”, – wrote Zagorodnyuk on his page on the social network Facebook, commenting on the meeting of the leaders of “Norman Quartet” (Ukraine, Germany, France, Russia) in Paris.

“Important point: these three sections should be humanitarian zones, which will allow to equip the transitions and crossings and to improve the lives of people in the area of differentiation. Must now determine the best options. And we will have time to prepare,” added the head of Department.
