Such brainstorming usually takes place annually in upstate new York, and this year the security Council for the first time went to the Swedish Scan. The meeting was organized in the former residence of Dag hammarskjöld, the second UN Secretary General who died in a plane crash in 1961. Farm estate is located in a natural Park, it offers among other things a fireplace and a sauna.

According to the humanitarian organizations and opposition to the regime of Bashar al-Assad’s forces in the night of 7 April, the helicopter dropped a barrel bomb with toxic substances in the Syrian city of Duma. According to them, dozens of people died and hundreds were treated in hospitals. Most of the victims civilians, women and children.

Russia and Syria deny the information about the chemical attack and called it “staging”. But the West lay the responsibility for a possible attack on the Syrian government.

Because of this, on the night of 14 April, the United States, Britain and France bombed Syrian military targets, which are allegedly linked to the development of chemical weapons.
