The UN Security Council began Thursday morning session with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks perpetrated in London on 22 March. Opening the meeting, the British foreign Secretary Boris Johnson as chair of the security Council condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

“On behalf of the members of the Security Council, I would like to strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack that was perpetrated in London on 22 March and led to the death and injury of many innocent people. I would also like to Express its sincere condolences to the families of the victims. Invite Council members to rise from their seats and to hold a minute of silence in memory of victims of yesterday’s attack and all other victims of terrorism around the world,” the Minister said .
