The UN security Council held an emergency meeting over attacks on tankers in the Gulf of Oman, reports DW.

It is noted that members of the security Council condemned the attack on the tankers and encouraged to thoroughly investigate the incident.

Formal action on the incident in the Gulf of Oman at an emergency meeting of the UN security Council was not accepted.

According to the representative of the presiding officer to the UN of Kuwait Mansour Ayyad al-Otaibi, USA has not provided the security Council evidence of Iranian involvement in the incident.
