The UN can take further restrictive measures.

The UN Security Council strongly condemned the regular launches of ballistic missiles by the DPRK. Simultaneously, at its meeting held on Tuesday evening, March 7, the security Council expressed concern over the “destabilizing actions” by Pyongyang. The U.S. proposed resolution was unanimously adopted.

The document also States that the UN may resort to “further significant measures”.

North Korea has launched four missiles towards the Japan sea on March 6. According to Tokyo, at least three of them were in the 200-mile zone under the control of Japan. Pyongyang stated that it had conducted missile tests as a “workout” in case of attack by the armed forces of the United States. As reported by North Korean news Agency KCNA, a potential target missiles were the American military bases in Japan .

Since then, North Korea conducted its first nuclear test in 2006, it imposed four sanctions. Currently in the black list of the UN are 20 North Korean organizations and 12 individuals.
