The UN Security Council will hold an open meeting on August 22 at the joint request of Russia and China. The theme of the meeting will be a test launch of American cruise missiles, ground-based, reports “Russian conversation”.

August 19, U.S. Department of defense confirmed the information about the test of a new missile with a medium range. Moreover, the United States has admitted interest in the missile program and “consider” to place the warhead.

The acting permanent representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy said that today’s meeting will be held at 22:00 Moscow time.
