The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on the situation in Jerusalem, Monday, July 24. About it reports Reuters, citing a diplomatic source.

Earlier, the representative of Sweden to the UN security Council Carl Skau in his microblog on Twitter said that Sweden, France and Egypt urged the Security Council to hold an emergency meeting on the issue of de-escalation in Jerusalem.

Recall that the intensification of the conflict between Israel and Palestine because of the new security measures at the Temple mount escalated into violence, which killed six people.

The military was used against the protesters with rubber bullets and tear gas . Three Palestinians were killed and several dozen were hospitalized with injuries.
