WASHINGTON, may 9. /TASS/. The United States is going to impose additional sanctions against Iran as soon as next week. On Washington’s readiness for such steps said on Wednesday the press-Secretary of the White house Sarah Sanders at a regular briefing for journalists.

“All the sanctions that were imposed until [the conclusion] of the deal [on the Iranian nuclear program], resume. We are preparing new sanctions which could be introduced as early as next week,” she said.

Sanders stressed that Washington wants to ensure that Iran cannot acquire nuclear weapons. “Until we confirm that we will continue to exert maximum pressure, [enter] incredible sanctions against them”, – concluded the spokesman .

President Donald trump on Tuesday announced the release of Washington from a Joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD) – transactions, which limited the nuclear program of Tehran in exchange for lifting the relevant sanctions of the UN Security Council and unilateral restrictive measures imposed at the time the US and the EU. Trump has promised not only to restore the old, but also to impose new sanctions. At the same time he argued that the United States is ready to conclude a new agreement instead of the AGREEMENT. However, the US has nominated Iran actually obviously impracticable conditions.

UK, Germany and France announced that they are going to continue to perform the AGREEMENT. The Iranian authorities reacted to the news of the United States is much less clear, saying that to develop its position following talks with the other parties to the transaction. The Russian foreign Ministry said that Moscow was disappointed by the move by Washington, and called the decision trump a smokescreen to settle political scores with Iran.
