To use the flash inside the museums, ancient tombs and temples will still be prohibited.

Throughout Egypt since August 1, allowed free to take pictures on mobile phones in the museums and around archaeological sites. This is stated in the message of the Egyptian Ministry of antiquities in Facebook, published on 3 July.

It is noted that this decision was made by the leadership of the Supreme Council for antiquities of the country. They are confident that the permission to photograph in museums and in areas of archaeological monuments should bring in Egypt more tourists.

While the Council was warned that to use the flash inside the museums, ancient tombs and temples is still prohibited.

Previously, the use of cameras with visitors attractions charged a fee which depended on the significance of the Museum or archaeological site.

Some especially valuable exhibits of photographing was forbidden.
