The President of the United States Donald trump meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has agreed on new security measures on the border between the two countries, according to the White house.

“President trump and Prime Minister Trudeau announced its intention to improve border management this summer with a new agreement on provisional permit which will allow you to obtain prior authorization for travelers crossing the border by land, rail and marine facilities in both countries, as well as through additional airports”, – the message says.

According to him, the two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of this summer initiative, which “will provide a streamlined and safer process of crossing a land border.”

The border of Canada and the United States – demilitarizing one of the longest borders in the world. Its length is about 8.9 thousand km.
