Aktay said that the safety zone will be East of the Euphrates, particularly the province of al-Raqqah and Deir-ez-Zor.

“The agreement reached with the Americans, the agreement is clear, the Turkish armed forces will exercise control over the security zone, the depth and length of which will determine Turkey”, − he said.

The adviser indicated that the cooperation between Ankara and Washington in the security area will go within the framework of relations between the two countries as NATO members.
