Turkey has banned its ships to visit Russian-annexed Crimea. This was during a visit to the country, said Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, transfers a press-service of the government.

“Today is the day of the visit we received a note prohibiting any Turkish vessels to visit the occupied Crimea. This is a very strong signal,” he said.

He also stressed a special role in support of the Crimean Tatars. “Your position in relation to the Crimean Tatars is very important for us and your desire to support in such difficult conditions is a Testament to the highest degree of friendliness between our countries”, – he stressed.

The Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim said that Turkey supports Ukraine, condemning the annexation of Crimea and supporting the territorial integrity.

As reported, Ukraine and Turkey signed an agreement on mutual trips of citizens on ID-cards . It also became known that Ukraine and Turkey will intensify the work for signing in 2017, three priority documents on free trade, the updated Agreement on the reciprocal promotion and protection of investments and Agreement on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion regarding taxes on income and property.

The Prime Minister’s visit to the Turkish Republic will last until tomorrow.
