Lukashenko on 5 September adopted a report of the Minister of internal Affairs Yury Karaev. As BelTA reports, he particularly thanked the new Minister for prompt disclosure of a robbery of a jewelry store in Minsk.
“And I must say that your units that are registered with the Ministry of internal Affairs, at me claims practically was not, – Lukashenka said Garayev. – Thank God that we have and the situation was more or less quiet in the country. God forbid the future.”
Just two weeks ago, Lukashenko made a “dressing down” at a meeting with representatives of law enforcement bodies, which he called “historic”, saying that “some in uniform were primarily oborzeli”.
