The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine calls on Russia to immediately release all political prisoners, in particular, the defendants in the “case of Hizb ut-Tahrir”.

“We are deeply concerned at the continuation of political persecution Russia 25 Crimean Tatars, arbitrarily detained March 27. The complete lack of transparency of the court hearings of their case is unacceptable. We call on Russia to immediately release all political prisoners”, – stated in the message of the Embassy tweeted on Wednesday.

As reported, massive searches took place on 27 March in Simferopol region of the Crimea, was detained 20 people. 28 March, it was reported about detention of three of the Crimea in Rostov-on-don.

The FSB conducted a special operation in the Crimea along with police officers and Regardie. The secret service called the detainees “the leaders and the rank and file members” of “Hizb ut-Tahrir” in the region. According to the FSB, they spread of “terrorist ideology” among the inhabitants of the Crimean Peninsula and was recruiting local Muslims to join the ranks of prohibited in Russia organizations.

March 30, Parliament Commissioner for human rights Lyudmila Denisova said that the Crimean Tatars were detained in the occupied Crimea by Russian security forces, located in the Rostov region (Russia).
