The US President Donald trump has signed a decree on sanctions, which, in particular, a year extended the ban on the funding of cultural and educational exchanges with Russia and some other countries. This is stated in the decree, published on the White house website.
“The United States will not provide non-humanitarian, non-trade assistance or to allow funding for participation in programs of educational and cultural exchanges by officials or employees of governments of Eritrea, Democratic people’s Republic, Russia and Syria to 2018”, – the document says.
Also, the United States would provide humanitarian assistance to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Equatorial Guinea, Iran, South Sudan and Venezuela during the 2018 fiscal year.
Recall, the new US sectoral sanctions against Russian financial and energy companies will come into force on November 28 .
