On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Belgium for the exhibition of the famous Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk.

Paintings by world famous Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk presented at the exhibition in the Belgian city of Bruges.

The event is held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Belgium.

“I brought here a part of a beautiful Ukrainian land. In these pictures there is a lot of wisdom,” – said Marchuk.

The exhibition called “look into the future”, which takes place in the prestigious gallery of Bruges, presents about a hundred paintings that reflect different periods of creativity of the artist.

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Belgium, Nikolai Tochitskii noted that this exhibition shows what and why the Ukrainians have to defend and protect from Russian aggression .

The Ambassador recalled that Ivan Marchuk is the only Ukrainian artist, included in the reputable British rating of “100 geniuses of our time”.

On behalf of the city Marchuk were greeted by the mayor of Bruges Renat Landolt. He said he was very honored to have world famous Ukrainians, and that the exhibition will see more visitors.

The exhibition aroused great interest among residents and numerous guests of this tourist and art town.

This is the second exhibition of the famous Ukrainian artist in Belgium – the first took place last autumn in the European Parliament in Brussels.

After Bruges, the exhibition will be able to see other cities of Belgium and the Netherlands.
