In the city of Podolsk Odessa oblast dismantled the monument to Soviet figure Grigory Kotovsky. The demolition was carried out in the framework of the law on decommunization.

On it informs on Sunday the Ukrainian news Agency UNIAN, citing a source in the Podolsk city Council, reports “Russian conversation”.

It is noted that the monument is located near the railway station building was dismantled at night.

The order for the demolition of the monument gave the leadership of the city. The decision was taken due to the fact that soon the town will be visited by the new head of the Odessa regional state administration Stepanov.

“The question may arise about the failure of the “law on de-communization”, – stated in the message.

Earlier it was reported that the Lviv vandals desecrated the monument to Soviet soldiers.
