Ukraine from 4 April to 26 October 2019 increased the reserves of natural gas in underground storage (UGS) in 2.5 times (12 billion 937,45 million cubic meters) – up to 21 billion 682,81 million cubic meters, according to operational data of JSC “Ukrtransgaz”.
According to calculations of the Agency “Interfax-Ukraine”, this volume exceeds the rate of inventory October 26, 2018 by 27.2% October 26, 2017 – with 28%, 26 October 2016 – by 48.7%.
Gas storage countries 1-26 October grew by 1 billion 252,26 million cubic meters, representing an average daily fix of 48.2 million cubic metres, whereas in September it amounted to 72.5 million cubic metres in August of 77.5 million cubic meters in July – 74,4 million cubic meters/day in June – 71.9 million cu m/day, in may of 62.9 million cubic meters/day.
UGS of Ukraine, in particular, on 26 October this year added a 54,09 million cubic meters when importing 58.2 million cubic meters and domestic production of 57.8 million cubic meters.
Earlier, the head of the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” Andrey KOBOLEV announced the company’s intention to pump additional volumes of gas into underground storage facilities in the country in the event of the termination of Russian “Gazprom” gas transit through the territory of the country after 2019.
