Coal mining enterprises of Ukraine in January-March 2017, according to operational data, increased production of raw coal by 3.2% (to 317,7 thousand tons) compared to the same period of 2016 to 10 million 349,4 thousand tons.

As have informed Agency “Interfax-Ukraine” a source in the Ministry of energy and coal industry, coking coal mining fell by 24.4% (546,7 thousand tons) – to 1 million 691,2 thousand tons, while energy increased by 11.1% (864,5 thousand tons) – up to 8 million 658,3 thousand tons.

At the same time in March-2017 production of raw coal decreased by 12.8% (438,2 thousand tonnes) compared to March 2016 – up to 2 million 976,4 thousand tons that is connected with capture of the coal enterprises of DTEK in temporarily uncontrollable territory.

At the end of March-2017 total production of the “Komsomolets of Donbass”, Sverdlovanthracite and rovenkyanthracite specified in the amount of 30 .3 thousand tons, while in January-February of this year it amounted to 1,886 million tonnes.

Coal mining enterprises outside the sphere of control Minenergouglya, in January-March 2017 reduced production by 16.3% (258,8 thousand tons) – to 1 million 327,7 thousand tons, including coking coal production decreased by 42% (203.1 thousand tons) – up 280,6 thousand tons, energy – 5,1% (55.7 thousand tons) up to 1 million 47,1 thousand tons.

Mine Donetsk region in three months was provided for production of 3 million 544,7 thousand tons of coal (a decrease of 12.9 per cent by January-March-2016), Lugansk – 1 million 400,8 thousand tons (+30,5%), Dnipropetrovsk – 4 973,5 thousand million tonnes (+12,6%), Lviv – 398,6 thousand tons (+1.8 percent), Volyn – 31.8 thousand tons (-42%).

As reported, Ukraine in 2016, increased production of raw coal by 2.8% (to 1 million 119.4 thousand tons) in comparison with the year 2015 – up to 40 864,1 million tons. Including coking coal production increased by 0.4% (36.3 thousand tonnes) – up to 8 million 361,4 thousand tons, energy – 3.4% (1 million of 83.1 thousand tons), up to 32 million 502,7 thousand tons.
