Kyiv introduces a complete ban on the import of petrochemical products of Russian companies “RusVinyl” (Nizhny Novgorod) and “caustic”(Volgograd).

This is stated in the decree No. 258 of the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine from February 24, 2017, reports “Russian conversation”.

A ban on the import of products of the above companies shall come into force on 4 April this year.

“RusVinyl” and “caustic” are the largest manufacturers of PVC and caustic soda.

In the spring of 2017 plans to launch “Karpatneftekhim”. The company will become the only Ukrainian producer of PVC and caustic soda.

We will remind, in December 2016, the Ukrainian government extended its decision to cancel the terms of the agreement on free trade with Russia .

For products from the Russian Federation introduced additional duties, and for certain categories of Russian goods importation into the Ukrainian territory is prohibited.

Such steps Kiev has taken in response to the suspension of the Russian Federation of a free trade agreement with Ukraine due to the entry into force of the economic part of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

Previously, “Russian Dialogue” reported that the Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik intends to initiate a ban on the import of coal from Russia.
