Ukrainian enterprises in January 2018 increased imports of copper and copper products in value terms, by 30.4% compared to the same period last year to $5,415 million.
According to customs statistics released by the State fiscal service of Ukraine on Wednesday, exports of copper and copper products in the first month of the year has increased 83.9% to $14,786 million
In December-2017 copper and copper products imported in the amount of $8,923 million, exported $14,580 million.
In addition, Ukraine in January reduced the import of Nickel and articles thereof by 21.7% to us $5,924 million (in December-2017 – $8,662 million), aluminium and its products – by 2.6%, to $24,041 million ($29,698 million), lead and its products – 31.8%, to $0,210 million (us$2,265 million), but increased tin and articles thereof 5.2%, to $0,348 million ($558 thousand), zinc and zinc products – by 43%, to $6,836 million ($8,897 million).
The exports of aluminium and articles thereof January-2018 increased by 88.2%, to $10,054 million (in December-2017 – $10,823 million), lead and its products by 21.2% to us $3,715 million (us$3,435 million), but decreased Nickel and articles – by 51.7%, to $0,183 million in December and $0,759 million).
The export of zinc in January-2018 amounted to $7 thousand, whereas in January-2017 absent (in December-2017 $2 million). Exports of tin and articles in January-2018 absent, whereas in January-2017 was $27 thousand (December 2017 were absent).
As reported, Ukraine in 2017, increased imports of copper and copper products in terms of value of 54.9 per cent compared to the same period of 2016 to $89,577 million, exports increased by 77.8 per cent to $132,782 million
In addition, Ukraine in 2017 has reduced imports of Nickel and articles thereof 12% to $76,306 million, but increased aluminum and its products by 34.5% to $368,633 million, of tin and articles thereof 73% to $4,937 million, of lead and products from it 2,5 times, to $12,601 million, zinc and zinc products – is 58.9%, to $73,089 million
The export of aluminium and products from it in 2017, increased by 39.4% to $129,219 million of lead and articles thereof – by 52.4%, to $44,699 million (us$3,435 million), but reduced Nickel and products by 10.3%, to $5,644 million Export zinc for 2017 was $65 million, while in 2016 – $18 million Exports of tin and articles during this period amounted to $172 thousand, while in 2016 – $20 thousand
