The chief of the General staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko at a meeting with the attaché of defense at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Colonel Thomas Wofford stressed the importance of intensification of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere and stressed Ukraine’s interest in attracting American professionals to the measures to strengthen the security of arsenals, bases and warehouses.

“The armed forces of Ukraine demonstrated progress in reform and transition to NATO standards through consultative and Advisory assistance provided to American advisers, and the training of personnel with the participation of American instructors,” said Viktor Muzhenko at a meeting on Friday, according to the Department of public relations of the APU.

The sides expressed belief in the intensification of bilateral military cooperation between the two countries in the future .

Separately, the chief of the General staff of Ukraine stressed the interest of the Ukrainian side to attract us experts to the measures for strengthening of safety of arsenals, bases and warehouses.

During the meeting T. Wofford introduced Viktor Muzhenko, chief of office of defense cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Colonel Robert Peters.
