Ukrainian men’s team in volleyball under the leadership of the Latvian specialist of Ugis Krastins lost the first qualifying match for the 2018 world Cup.
In Lyon, the Ukrainian team lost to Germany with the score 0:3 and have actually lost chances of continuation of selection in Italy and France.
Especially in the first set of our volleyball players too made a lot of mistakes that allowed the Germans half points to gain at the start. The first set ended with the defeat with a score of 16:25 and not a single hint of a struggle. It is reported by the Federation of volleyball of Ukraine.
In the second set some time, the fight was equal – 11:11, but in the future, the German team added pace and was leading with a score of 25:20. The third set wasn’t the best of 25:19 in favor of the German team.
The best scorer of the Ukrainian national team became diagonally Basil Topchi – 12 points (attack-11, block-1). In the German national team, it should be noted our former countryman from Poltava Denis Kaliberda who’s long gone to Germany, and in this match scored ten points.
Next match Ukraine national team will play against the current champion of Europe – France today, 25 may at 21:30.
