Ukrainian cybersecurity experts are ready to neutralize potential threats to information and telecommunication systems of the Central election Commission (CEC) during the parliamentary elections, said the Secretary of national security and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov.

As reported on the website of the NSDC Turchynov, speaking at a meeting of the national coordinating centre for cyber security, said that the subjects of ensuring cyber-security is able “to timely detect, prevent and neutralize real and potential threats to the cyber character in the information systems of the CEC during the next parliamentary elections.”

The NSDC Secretary stressed that despite attempts by Russian intelligence to break the circuit of cyber security of public bodies of Ukraine involved in the presidential elections, “failed to ensure smooth functioning of the system “Elections” and the State register of voters”.
