DONETSK, March 4. /TASS/. Units of the Ukrainian military shelled the neighborhood of Donetsk filtering station (DFS). On Saturday announced the operational command of the self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic (DND).

“Ukraine’s armed forces today opened fire in the area of DFS. On the territory of the station itself was not hit”, – quotes the words of the representative office of the Donetsk news Agency.

The command added that the Ukrainian security forces fired from mortars of 82 and 120 mm.

Earlier on Saturday, the Agency reported that the station was the first joint inspection by the representatives of Donetsk and Kyiv . In addition, it produced the clearance area of the station and its access roads. According to the results, after nine days of downtime, the work of the DFS failed to renew.

DFS is between Avdeevka and Yasinovataya. The station provides water for settlements on both sides of the contact line: Donetsk, Yasinovataya, Spartacus and Vasilevka, under the control of DND, and Avdeevka, Krasnogorovka and the Item on the Kiev-controlled territory. During the conflict, the station has been under fire.
