Around half a million Ukrainian tourists annually visit the Crimea after the reunification of the Peninsula with the Russian Federation.
These figures on Sunday, June 11, speaking at the media forum “Open to the Crimea: with my own eyes”, announced the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, reports “Russian conversation”.
According to the head of the Republic, Ukrainian citizens feel comfortable in Crimea, without any obstacles.
“Speak the Ukrainian language, in the shops, they calmly answer,” – said Aksenov also added that Crimeans have no negative reaction to the people of Ukraine.
Aksenov also said that after the collapse of the Soviet Union Kiev was trying to turn Crimea into a Ukrainian backwater, now the Peninsula should become a showcase of Russia .
Recall, the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the West continues to look to the Crimea “closed eyes” and told how the foreign editions do not allow their employees to visit the Peninsula.
