Ukrainians in 2016 was issued 1.36 million visas for short stays in the Schengen area, which is 14.7% more than in 2015, according to the Department of consular service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine with reference to the statistical data of the European Commission.
According to the Department on the official page on the social network Facebook, in 2016 the share of decorated Ukrainians multivisa reached 59.9%. Thus, the Netherlands has issued 82% multivisa, Lithuania – almost 80%, Slovakia and Poland – 70%, Estonia, Portugal, Hungary, Sweden and Switzerland more than 60%.
The foreign Ministry said that every third Schengen visa were issued to Ukrainian citizens free of charge.
It is also noted that the overall bounce rate decreased to 3.2% compared to 3.4% in 2015 .
“Ukraine’s foreign Ministry will continue to respond to all the violations of the rights of citizens of Ukraine, as well as undue complications when applying for Schengen visas at the same time bringing relevant information to the attention of the European Commission” – summed up in Department of consular service Ministry of foreign Affairs,
