“The project lasted almost six months for its launch, the company changed the model of collecting and sorting mail in the “Ukrposhta”; worked out new technological processes to regional customs, have signed contracts with airports, held new tenders from airlines”, – explained in the message of “Ukrposhta”.
According to the company, in 2018, the import-export of “Ukrposhta” was about 11.6% of all aviation postal and cargo traffic airports in the country, and with the transit operations of 13.9%.
“Ukrposhta” I would like to further increase its logistics capacity. Now, instead of a single airport to serve the export will be four. This will improve the quality of delivery, reduce the time of receipt of the shipment and minimize the risks of delays during peak loads, for example, the Christmas holidays,” – said the first Deputy General Director for operating activities of “Ukrposhta” Alexander Pertsovsky.
Regional airports will also receive new opportunities to expand the business and increase the number of flights.
At the same time, “Ukrposhta” stressed that the international airport “Borispol” remains a key airport in the “Ukrposhty”, because it provides an opportunity to provide from 32 to 47 flights with export shipments.
“In parallel with the launch of new points of departure, at the operational object of “Ukrposhta” in the “Boryspil” has started construction work on the expansion of bandwidth, and Kyiv customs office of the IGO (international postal traffic) scheduled re-zoning and extension of the area of the customs zone”, – stated in the message.
As reported in 2018 “Ukrposhta” handled 34.4 million international shipments.
