PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans in 2018 to allocate 22 billion on capital investments, including the planned funds are about 7 billion UAH will be spent on rail infrastructure, said the head of PJSC Evgeny Kravtsov.
“Right now we are completing the plan of capital investments for the next year. I can say that we generally planned for 2018 to lay money in the amount of 22 billion UAH of capital investments. Approximately one third of these funds, which is about 7 billion, plan to invest in modernization, reconstruction of railway infrastructure”, – he said at the opening ceremony of the renovated branch “Center of diagnostics of the railway infrastructure”.
E. Kravtsov emphasized that the main task for the PSC next year will be to bring the entire infrastructure in good condition, to ensure the maximum removal of restrictions on the speed of movement of trains, as well as lifting speeds up to the certified values .
He also said that in 2018 it is planned to allocate UAH 150-200 million on a program to provide workers “uz” your own home.
According to him, in 2017 for these purposes was allocated 100 million UAH, and in late December, the 100 families of railway workers will receive apartments in the town of Sinelnikovo, Dnipropetrovsk region.
Also this year was started a number of projects in this area, but their completion has been planned for next year.
PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is the main carrier of freight and passengers, is 81.7 per cent of the total freight traffic (excluding pipelines) and 36.1% of the passenger traffic in the country. The operational length of Railways is 19.8 thousand km, more than 47.2% of lines are electrified.
