MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian tennis Federation (OFWs) Vladimir Dmitriev, the head of the European tennis Association (Tennis Europe). About it reports a press-service of the tournament.

Election of management of Tennis Europe marched Saturday in the framework of the General Assembly of the Association in Sochi. In addition to the Russians, the presidency claimed Goran Djokovic (Serbia), Luizanna FOD (Italy), Predrag Stojcevic (Croatia) and Matti Virtanen (Finland).

Elections were held in three rounds. The last came Dmitriev and Virtanen, in him, the Russians scored 43 voices, and Finn – 31.

Dmitriev – doctor of economic Sciences, member-correspondent of the Russian Academy of natural Sciences, specialist in the international economy . For 20 years he held senior positions in the Bank (from 2004 to 2016 – Chairman). In March 2016, was elected Vice – President Trading-industrial chamber of Russia.

New Board members were elected Tennis Europe for three years (2017-2020). Dmitriev will take the place of Jacques Dupre, who is leaving his post after nine years at the head of the organization.
