YEKATERINBURG, August 19. /TASS/. The fans from Western Europe should not be afraid to go to Russia for the world football championship 2018. Such opinion to journalists was expressed by the halfback of CSKA and Sweden’s Pontus wernbloom.
Wernbloom joined CSKA in January 2012.
“I had some concerns when I went to Russia. But I’m here for the sixth year, and it’s not so bad. The fans from Western Europe have nothing to fear, there are very good people, lots of fun. Russia – a great country that is worth visiting if you have the opportunity,” said the Swedish midfielder.
“For me personally, especially anything over the years has not changed, because I’m a football player. We are like cows sitting on the bus, go to the stadium, play, eat, and go home, then play again. For me life has not changed for 10 years, just change city and country,” added Wernbloom .
The FIFA world Cup 2018 will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Sochi and Rostov-on-don.
