MOSCOW, August 3. /TASS/. Moscow authorities plan to extend the Simonovskaya embankment to the territory of the former ZIL industrial area, construction work is scheduled to begin this year, told journalists on Friday the Deputy mayor of Moscow Marat Khusnullin.

“The project to extend the Simonovskaya embankment to the ZIL territory is ready. He was examined, planned before the end of the year to enter in the active construction”, – said Khusnullin.

He added that the new portion of the embankment would be road, but it will be a pedestrian zone. In addition, the construction of new sections allows you to create a comfortable environment on the territory of Moscow and to increase the accessibility of areas along the Moscow river .
