The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky intends to continue the reforms in the security sector and defense of Ukraine to NATO standards.

As the press service of the President, he said this at a meeting on Thursday with U.S. senators Ronald Johnson and Christopher Murphy, with whom he discussed the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.

Zelensky discussed with the senators cooperation in the field of energy security, in particular, the interlocutors stressed the importance of diversification deliveries to Ukraine energy through building their supply from US.

The parties noted the Memorandum between Ukraine, Poland and the United States about the supply of American liquefied natural gas.

Zelensky thanked the American party for its consistent opposition to the project “Northern stream-2” and expressed hope that the U.S. Congress adopted a decision on sanctions against companies that take part in it.
