The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was appointed head of the Kherson regional state administration Yuriy Gusev, former Deputy Minister of defense of Ukraine.
Zelensky introduced the newly appointed head of the regional state administration the meeting in Kherson on Saturday.
“I want to congratulate you with the new head of the Kherson regional state administration… and I want to sign a decree appointing Gusev Yuri Veniaminovich. You can applaud,” said Zelensky, signed the document and handed Gusev identity.
One of the priorities of the new head of the state administration, the President mentioned the construction of infrastructure control points of entry/exit (KPVV) in Kherson oblast adminpraise with the occupied Crimea.
In turn, Yuri Gusev noted that Kherson region is his home region, and today in the region launched a pilot program under which the heads of the district state administrations of the region, as well as Deputy head of state administration will be recruited by program personnel Lift.

As reported, on June 26 the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting supported the designation of 8 heads of regional state administration, whose candidacy was proposed by President Zelensky. In particular, the head of Kherson regional state administration proposed to appoint Yuri Gusev.
Earlier Yury Gusev was listed under No. 41 on the electoral list of the party “servant of the people”. However, on 13 June, he announced that he had decided not to participate in parliamentary elections, but remains in the team Zelensky and to help her “in a different role”.
