The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Alexander Litvinenko dismissed from the post of Deputy Secretary of national security Council and defence of Ukraine (NSDC) and appointed him Director of the National Institute for strategic studies (NISS).
It is defined by presidential decrees No. 598 and No. 599 of August 13, published on Wednesday, August 14.
In addition, decree No. 597 Zelensky released Vasyl Yablonski from the interim Director of NISS.
Decree No. 599 “About some questions of the National Institute for strategic studies,” also provides that for the purpose of strengthening analytical and prognostic ensure the implementation of President of Ukraine and the national security Council powers in the field of national security, scientific support for solution of problems of foreign policy, economic, social and political development of Ukraine, creation of organizational conditions for the modernization and operation of the NISS Director of that institution should, within two months, to make proposals for the reform and development strategy of the Institute, providing its restructuring and the reduction of staff numbers of employees.
This decree shall enter into force from the date of publication.
