MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The question of participation of Russian sportsmen in the winter Olympic games in South Korea’s Pyeongchang will be definitively solved at session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which will be held in September in Peru. This broadcast “Match TV” said the head of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov.

“Now the IOC continue to work, – said Zhukov. – I think that in September at session the IOC all points over “i” in this matter will be placed”.
In July 2016, the IOC created two commissions. The first is retesting doping samples of participants in the Olympics in 2014, it is headed by Denis Oswald . The second is a special Commission of the IOC under the leadership of Samuel Schmid, who is investigating the involvement of employees of the Ministry of sport of the Russian Federation to the possible concealment of doping violations by the Russian athletes.
In December last year, the McLaren has presented in London the second part of its report on doping in Russia. After this, the IOC announced that all doping samples from the Olympics in Sochi will be rechecked.
